Tired of Ads
Posted by on May 22, 2026 at 10:56 amI'm SO SICK AND TIRED of all of these apps turning into a place for advertisements to take over! On Pinterest, the Ad to Pin ratio is like 4:1 and it's so repulsive. There's no way to directly reach out to the developers to have this fixed bc this is what they wanted. I'm in the field that i'm in now so that I can learn to create new apps and systems because this is actually ridiculous. Can we just have a digital space that you don't have to pay for and aren't completely run by ads?? it seems that Reddit is one of the very few bearable apps out here yet it's barely social media. It's time for a revolution and I will be a part of it because what the heck man…

The internet got worse when every platform optimized for advertisers instead of users.
Once growth slows, ads increase, feeds get manipulated, and actual human interaction dies.
