    Target CPA x Budget

Posted by your_fave_weapon on May 12, 2023 at 12:52 pm

Does having a Target CPA per campaign bigger than your daily budget per campaign mess with Smart Bidding?

I have a higher CPA as our service is so expensive, then a daily budget that stops campaigns becoming unprofitable. This is because not all leads will convert.

    TIA!

If you are dealing with a small budget, use less campaigns and put more budget into each campaign.

If not all leads convert, have you tried/tested with value bidding as compared to tcpa?
I know it helps if your calls are higher quality leads than forms and marking those as higher priority.

But having lower budget and higher cpa does sort of mess with the campaign. Not because of what google does directly. But if your cpc is 30 and your budget is 10, then you are basically getting a converting lead every 3 days. That’s why google mentions having budget 10x the cpa (definitely unrealistic in most cases). Hope this helps.

Yes it will mess with smart bidding. You should have budget flexibility and use your target to adjust spend. But in your current situation you are just pretending a tCPA is a max conversion.

I would recommend trying bid adjusts on device.
    1. Using a micro conversion like form page instead of form complet.
    2. Consolidating, device adjustments, and keyword exclusion, pausing, while manual mangent.
