GuestFebruary 10, 2023 at 1:53 amDepends on the local competition. Half the service companies around here don’t even have websites/ they are just landing pages. The fronpage isn’t that hard it’s the top 1-2 results where you will see some sort of competition in local seo as long as you are not in a highly competitive industry or area.

GuestFebruary 10, 2023 at 2:26 amAbsolutely. Google sees what visitors see.
Aside from any technical stuff that some builders might not have for intricate competition, good content and built out sites can do well.

GuestFebruary 10, 2023 at 3:10 amYes. Just go for it. Focus on content, links and a technically sound site. The CMS doesn’t really matter. Yeah WordPress is great thanks to all the plugins you can use. And Shopify is popular for e-commerce. But you can definitely rank sites on Wix and SquareSpace.

GuestFebruary 10, 2023 at 3:45 amI have or run websites on 5 different platforms. My favorite it wordpress because the yoast plugin remembers lots of things I forget. For example, I have a basic html, css,js site I will myself; it was having a ranking problem and after checking Google search console I realized I forgot to define the canonical… Google was literally penalizing me because I didn’t self reference. F’google, but anyway.
Html css has made is my second favorite because I have 100% control – the huge downside of this is the amount of css for all the screensizes and browsers. Elementor on WordPress handles all that but it’s a bit clunky.
I found wix and squarespace to be garbage but I have one client on each.

GuestFebruary 10, 2023 at 3:47 amYes, but just get WordPress. When you decide to add analytics & features to the website it’ll save you a lot of hassle with plug-ins.

GuestFebruary 10, 2023 at 8:50 amYou can, but I would recommend optimizing your google my business listing as much as possible. If you can get in the 3 pack, that’ll really help.
