New T-shirts Online store – Facebook Traffic campaign first or Conversion?

To sum it up, I have a brand new online store for soft goth t-shirts, art items, pillow cases etc. I am selling also on [Etsy](https://www.etsy.com/shop/ForestBeing) and I was using fb traffic campaign ads (low budget – 10/20 euros per day) to drive more people to my store on etsy, but I am barely making any profit.. So I made a new online store, i have facebook pixel connected (not used yet). However,
I`ve heard that I can`t just start with Conversion campaigns, because there is no info for the pixel.
My questions are:
**1.How long** (how many impressions or link clicks or conversions**) should a traffic campaign run so it will gather enough information so I can start using conversion campaigns?**
**2.Should I use the traffic campaign in the beginning or I can just use conversion campaign, optimized for link clicks ?** ( I don`t understand quite well the difference between traffic campaign for link clicks and conversion campaign for link clicks).
I`d be glad if someone can help me out 🙂
