Mismatch in Conversion value on Google Ads

Posted by DigitalKanish on May 8, 2023 at 2:54 am

There is a huge mismatch between the sale price of the product uploaded in GMC compared to the conversion value of the product reported in Google ads

So, I have setup conversion tracking in Google ads, while the conversions are being reported accurately, the conversion value associated with it, there is a huge mismatch.

Like in GMC if the product price is $35, sale price (also included in GMC) is $25, the conversion value being reported on Google is totally different $40 for instance, there is no additional shipping cost that justifies this

Could you please let me know what can be the reason for this or any resource that can help?

Sounds like you are just passing the wrong data value into the Google Ads tag. Can you not do a test conversion and see?
How have you installed the pixel? Via a tag manager or platform led?

Is the currency the same? And what attribution model are you using?

Is the currency set up to be the same? And what attribution model are you using?

Get the Simprosys app and use the auto conversion tracking setup. It’s cheap, support is amazing and it will allow you to adjust product details very easily (or in bulk).

I have used it for many Shopify clients and it is definitely the quickest/easiest solution I have found.
