Meta moved to monthly invoicing and margins disappeared

Posted by False-Group4926 on May 6, 2026 at 8:29 pm

We received the notice in January stating that our account will be on a monthly billing cycle starting from April. It might make sense for them to do so but it adds issues on our end

It ain't hard to manage from a cash flow pov but it led me to think about how we currently pay them since it costs us around $40K per month and now it generates zero reward points for us due to Meta’s payment process
Asked some people in the field with similar budgets about it and heard about how someone stopped paying Meta directly because he uses an external processor to make payments to Meta through its ACH system
We have to think of something soon before the next month. Any help?

The move by Meta on the invoicing front has been a pain point. A single monthly payment isn’t viable for us

How long have you been running at that budget? Does the invoicing change hit differently at different spend levels

It feels like Meta keeps adding friction for advertisers while making it easier for them

We’ve been looking for a provider as well that will give us more leeway with payments without messing with the campaigns

IMO never opt for monthly invoicing. Their payment system is absurd. I switched back to CC as it give me more control and only stops when there is no balance.

Google made a similar move awhile back. Think it was to save on CC fees on their end
