Making genuine connections while driving traffic to a client I work for?
I work as a photographer and editor for a blue-collar company that does land/hardscaping and other contracting. I am genuinely interested in driving traffic to my client’s page and opening engaging discussions about the content we post. I hope it could lead to them getting more business (they’re switching focus from residential to commercial properties) and me getting more work.
The content is eye-catching and the captions I think are engaging although we are improving the copy every day. I try to tell a story with every post.
Does anyone have any strategies on how I can use my personal profile to open meaningful discussions and connections with potential clients or other people in the industry? I think there is still a lot of need for higher-quality and authentic content in this industry. I have been sharing our posts and praising the business (modestly) but the engagement still isn’t there.
EDIT: Sorry I forgot to clarify that I’m mostly concerned with Linkedin right now.
