Keeping A Breeding Journal
Posted by on September 4, 2026 at 1:35 pmNothing kills a breeding project faster than losing track of which plant came from which parent, and with regulars the number of individuals grows quickly across generations. I write down germination date, sex, flowering start and a few notes on smell for every plant, and it takes a minute each week. A downloadable journal template with the fields that actually matter is offered on https://breederregularseeds.com, which is what I use now instead of my old notebook. Memory alone is not reliable past the second generation.
