Is it a good SEO practice to use the ‘pipe key’ in the Meta title and Description?
Posted by mashmuhammadi on February 20, 2023 at 1:59 pmPlease can someone give insights on this? I did research a bit but the articles & blogs there seem quite outdated.

GuestFebruary 20, 2023 at 2:14 pmUsing the pipe key can make your meta title and description more readable and can help search engines understand the different elements on the page. Is it always necessary to use it? Don’t think so. In fact sometimes it prevents you from keeping your title and description concise. You have a limitted number of characters to craft an appealing title, so it may take up too much space.

GuestFebruary 20, 2023 at 6:13 pmYoast SEO plugin has already updated about pipe key, that they will not use pipe key and use instead of a hyphen. But most of the ranked sites are still using pipe key and google didn’t remove their ranking from SERP. So you can use pipe key.
