Is it a 302 or 301 redirection?
Posted by on March 22, 2021 at 12:18 amI am upgrading a little fat online platform, and the url structure has changed. The thing that concerns me most is whenever it is a 302 or 301 redirect
Previous url: /contact.html
New url: /contactPrevious url: /about_us
New url: /about-usServer is the same, domain stays the same, redirects are just syntax sugar for some inconsistencies

If it is permenant, 301.
If temporary only, 302.

Since these are permanent redirects, set them as 301.
If you set them as 302, it signals to Google that you want to keep the old pages indexed and appearing in search results.
