It depends upon a lot of factors here. Normally when we reshare our posts on stories, we don’t put any actionable stickers there, or not anything that makes the user either engage with it. And that’s why Instagram doesn’t promote it to more audiences as they can see people are either going to another story or just exiting from your story.
But when you post something else, not just reshare, something like sharing your routine, or something personal, that is not your post, people connect it with more.
People like to connect with personal stuff. Something that they don’t see in the feed. Sometimes they hit the like, reply to it, or just see the whole story without skipping it. And this shows the algorithm, that your story is engaging, and then they push it to other people.
But also, even your stories are original, but they aren’t engaging enough, or not something that excite your audience, they will start taking a loose interest in it. And the result will be you will see a drop in your views.
