    I feel like this is flying completely under the radar. As of yesterday, Instagram fully removed the E2EE option for direct messages.

    They claim it’s due to "low usage," but the reality is that Meta now has the technical ability to scan, read, and flag any text, photo, or voice note sent in DMs. Coming right before the Take It Down Act goes into effect in the US, the timing seems super intentional.

    Are you guys just moving your private conversations back to WhatsApp/Signal, or is there an actual alternative right now that doesn't just feed your metadata to another centralized server? I'm honestly tired of jumping between apps every time a massive tech company changes its privacy policy.

    What is everyone planning to use for actual private messaging this year?
