    Influencer marketing no sales

Posted by Anarchist991 on May 3, 2023 at 4:03 pm

Hey, I have a online embroidery shop with custom clothes.
    I have a collaboration with 2 influencers.
One has 50k the other one 30k followers.
And I became only one sale.
    I don’t know that’s wrong.
    It’s sad.
    What are your experiences ?

Custom clothes can be harder to sell online. Making it work with influencer marketing may not be the right channel… it is more of a channel about awareness for a lot of brands.

Even if you have done Facebook and Google, maybe whoever ran the ads were not doing it correctly. It is to easy to set up ads and burn through money. Making sure you have someone who knows how to run paid ads is a key to making them work.

Recently it’s been shown time and time again that much of influencer marketing is not nearly as effective as people once thought. High follower counts DO NOT guarantee real eyeballs on your product. IF you’re going to do a deal with an influencer, you need to look at their actual engagement; are they getting comments, responding to them, shares, etc.?

Did you collaborate with these people directly or go through an agency? A reputable agency would be able to provide reporting on their engagement so you know what you’re getting into.

Not to brag, but I used to work at well funded start-up that used a company that had people like Courtney Cox (when she was still relevant) and younger people in the entertainment field with a lot of followers. It was a total waste of money. You’re influencer needs to have serious “earned” credibility in the niche you are in.
