I’m new to Amazon PPC. High search volume, low conversion rate, what does this mean? Also, what happens if You bid lower than average CPC? Finally, organic search optimisation vs paid ads?
TLDR: Does high search volume, lower conversion rate than average mean that consumers don’t want to buy alternative products? Q.2: Is it worth bidding lower than the average CPC? Q.3: Organic search optimisation – does it hurt or help paid ads?

Backstory: I’m using an unusual free PPC tool for research only, so not sure how accurate it is. I haven’t set up an Amazon seller account yet, but I’m trying to learn how it (ads) works first.
Context/Example: Let’s say you have a specific popular video game called “Fun Party Games” that gets 33.7k searches a month on Amazon US. But it only has a conversion rate of 5.7% (lower than similar keywords and the average of 9.7% I believe). But it costs $1.50 when everything else is around 0.50. Another example: a similar high volume word only had 3% conversion.
1️⃣❓1st Question: What’s going on here, exactly? Is it that people searching for that game don’t want to buy anything else?
2️⃣❓2nd Question: Also, I see beginners on kdp (books) recommend bidding 20c per click, even though the average or recommended might be $1.00. What happens if I go lower? Will I still show up further down on the page? Is it even worth doing this or should I just target cheaper words?
3️⃣❓3rd Question: Finally, for organic search optimisation. Does it work better than using low budgets like $20 a day. Will having paid ads affect it or complement it?
Thanks
