It's my first time to put a thought on a matter on reddit which I think worth discussing about…

We all know what we are alone, who we truly are, and the mass mob see the surface highlights of poeple life, ideas and reels, they all somewhat deep down know what all of them actually are but they find to comforting to pretend and try to find depth in a shallow world.

Let's keep an example of growth in instargam, what it deptics growth as, building an aesthetic body? Taking protein and having a selective diet? Trying to look cool? Reading philosophers and quoting them in the reels because it's a trend? And overall sharing your slightest effort on something like reading a book running a mile doing a small task, on social media feels productive?

I'm not against this nor I'm saying it's complete bullshit, it's better than what your previous life was but the question remains are you doing this for yourself or what the social society wants you to be, the second trend change they'll catch up and do it, another thing I think is that the trends on social media apps are never hard, could cost some effort but never hard, I think that's the point why it's a trend.

But after following all this you get some positives in life but still it'll never feel complete to you when you'll be alone yourself and be thinking about your life, the productive definition that insta has taught to you has been more financially draining and not effort efficient, it has no core, no basis, no meaning behind it, you may still not have a job, you have no power, you have no identity, just a part of that social society where your efforts will be seen for some seconds, graded with likes and impressive comments then the society will move onto other reels, and you'd be staring at those imprint left by those people who stamped thier 3-4 second of engaged attention to you, that's it

My idea of this doesn't deptics the whole social media, there's is always good, always better vision and there are examplary people of them on the apps but I'm addressing the common, the app respects them for thier ordinary life and the complex system finds lot of ways to engage and make thier celebrations more fun and addcitve, and this shallowness makes them form thier false reality in thier minds.

Unawareness of this matter is serious.

What do you guys think about this?

One thing I noticed while testing creator-behavior workflows with Runable is that social platforms reward visible self-improvement far more than deep invisible growth, which slowly pushes people toward optimizing for perception instead of meaningful long-term development

whenever I see people doing workouts or showing a very productive part of themselves I feel motivated but when I think about creating that video , reel myself I get so irritated because that’s not who I am all the time and I want to post something on social media which I am most of the time so this makes me think that many of the creators who do this stuff are fake or might be doing just for views and that makes me very dissatisfied and disappointed.
