IG bots?
Posted by on March 23, 2021 at 10:45 pmAnyone see an uptick in IG bot accounts? I just got 10-15 new follows (not normal as it was a lurking account) and all of the accounts had the same type of bio:
“Blogger
Capricorn
Reno, NV”“Adventurer
Virgo
Plano, TX”Why the sudden influx for my account?

I’ve noticed an uptick in both bots and spam emails asking me if they can advertise on my Facebook page… which… has no where near the numbers for what they offer.
Also have friends getting pages duplicated with their user name plus a “1” or something that make fake porn accounts.
Suuuuper weird.

I had an uptick of followers last week. IG decided to temporarily lock my account because of it. I wonder if going private for a day would have fixed the issue, but I doubt it.
