Forums Forums PPC Hey, I just received a call from meta pro team trying to schedule a call with me. I did this in the past but didn’t find it useful. My question is, do meta pros have access to my account and do they have the ability to tamper with my ads / setting etc? Thanks

They are assigned specific accounts at a time, meaning if you have multiple accounts in your business manager, that person contacting you might just want to talk about certain accounts. So yes, they do have access based on being assigned to support.

They are not, however, permitted to tamper or make any changes without your explicit permission, like if you’re troubleshooting an issue in the account with them. Technically they would have the ability, that’s in the realm of possibility, but it reminds me of Zuckerberg’s senate hearing where they kept asking him if they have the ability to leak information – ability versus permission are two different things. You can walk up to someone on the street and punch them in the face, doesn’t mean that’s allowed.

In my experience Meta Pros only make recommendations that’ll spend more money and/or opt your ads into lesser quality placements (audience network!). They do not actually make the changes themselves though so you are free to ignore them.

I have been contacted by hundreds of Meta Pros for my various accounts and never once did they make a good recommendation nor did they ever follow up on any questions I had. They are a complete waste of time.

They can’t make changes without your permission.

In my experience they are not very good at anything but I have always in the past kept in brief contact with them on and off just to have that line of communication.

Not unless you agree to it first. And they’re hopeless they feed you information like Google do so you spend 1000s before getting into the real analytical aspects. Better to hire a pro.
