Good idea to run google ads when i don’t even have one paying customer and no traffic? (I will not promote)

We built a web app that basically takes your google maps url and turns into into a editable website + CRM + lead management dashboard .

It's built for local/small businesses like gyms, restaurants , small hostel owners. Now i understand the final "product" isn;t unique , but i think the fact we package everything that a business owner needs for marketing and running their busines in one click is our value prop.

We are doing basic SEO, GEO and i've been also doing a lot of cold calling and reaching out but it's very slow and i am not sure when we'll start getting organic traffic.

is it a goood idea to run google at this early stage ?

running ads without knowing your conversion rate or cost per lead is basically guessing with money. cold outreach first makes more sense here, it tells you who actually buys and why, which you need before writing a single ad.

also the keywords for what you’re selling are tricky, “website for small business” type terms are expensive and broad, and the people clicking are rarely the gym owner you want.

First month will get little to know clients or leads. It needs to warm up its own conversion funnel, ads, get frequency up. Your trying to understand how traffic = conversions and conversion rate at that point.

Real results won’t be until month two.

Depends how much cash you have and what your conversion rate is

Yes run a small search campaign on high intent keywords to validate demand before investing more in the product

Controversial take: yes, but only if you treat it as a validation experiment, not a traffic play. Run a tight Search campaign with 5-10 bottom-of-funnel keywords (people who are actively looking to buy right now), not generic awareness terms. $20-30/day, 2 weeks, and track every landing page event: clicks, scroll depth, form starts, not just form completions.

The data tells you three things: whether people actually search for what you sell, what copy makes them click, and where the funnel breaks. That’s worth the spend even with zero sales.

The biggest mistake at this stage is going too broad with match types and burning budget on irrelevant traffic before you get a single signal. Run your keyword list through this first: [https://adpredictor.ai/en/tools/match-type](https://adpredictor.ai/en/tools/match-type)

no you want to do direct mail, or CTV or email and pr and lots of organic work then three to six months focus on PPC unless your a broker of a strong product that is need based less want based
