Today must be Client Clowns Day:

    1. Client from Australia asked me to teach him everything in a 2-hour Zoom Call about Google Crawling, Index, Analytics and Search Console. His Budget Idea? 20$ (yupp, there is no 0 missing). I almost spit my coffee over the table.

    2. Industrial Company located next to Dallas asking for SEO monthly full service, 1300 webpages, 6000 Backlinks, lots of Onpage SEO Issues. Budget?! $80/month.

lol #2. Tell them that’s fine and you will dedicate enough time each month to finish their website by 2050

I had one where the existing client called me in and said they wanted my seo to increase their revenue by a million pounds.

I asked them what level of investment did they have and they responded £1500, when I said that’s per month right they said no, that’s all we’re prepared to spend… and they took insult when I laughed…

Not a good look to crap on potential clients. I hope this doesn’t backfire and result you in losing potential customers, Markus.

???????????????? I feel your pain, I’ve been there. Now I don’t deal with this crap because of a few core business policies I put in place:

I only sign one year contracts. When I started this policy, my minimum was $1k/month. I’ve been raising that number ever since.

I don’t talk to people for free. A one hour consultation is $100. If they can’t pay for a consultation, they can’t afford me.

Clearly you need to attract better clients.

All these people crying that clients have delusional expectations and requests, but none of you ever want to look in the mirror and check if you have done a good job explaining and selling your services. If someone offers to pay you 100 dollars per month, then clearly you’ve given them reason to think thats what you are worth.
