So a google search on my (very unique) name yields two old blog comments, one on page 2, one on page 7 or 8. Nothing racist or homophobic, but right leaning and a little rough around the edges. I would rather not have them seem by prospective employers but accept that it could happen. The comments are ten years old, do not really reflect how I feel anymore, but cannot be deleted…webmasters are awol.

Anyway, I’ve been setting up new accounts in my real name …tiktok, a new york times account i comment with, wordpress, also comment with. I am hoping this new more positive material will appear on google to show I am civil. Is this a sound strategy? And will theese things even show on google if I dont have a lot of followers? I also have an instagram, pinterest and twitter with my real name, none of which come up on google search.

I have zero experience here. But I would think that newer, relevant content would push down own content.

But if someone wanted, they could still search by date.
