Lately every video, thread, and “guru” says you need 5 platforms, daily reels, paid ads, email funnels, trending sounds, hooks, storytelling, and 3 hours of engagement every day just to grow.

But whenever I look at smaller creators or local businesses doing well, it usually seems way simpler. They post consistently, reply to people, show real stuff, and keep going.

Have we overcomplicated social media marketing? What’s something simple that still works for you right now?

Trying to be active everywhere honestly just spreads most people too thin and lowers content quality overall

Real talk, a lot of old social media advice aged badly once the platforms got saturated lol. Posting more doesn’t magically fix weak positioning or forgettable content anymore. Saves, shares, replies, and genuine community interaction seem way more important now than blindly chasing volume haha. The platforms are getting better at detecting whether people actually care about the content versus just scrolling past it. Tbh, strong hooks, niche relevance, and building real audience trust matter way more than following some rigid “post 3 times a day” formula fr.
