A little tip on how to grow a small account on Tik Tok
So a couple months ago I made a fresh account on Tik Tok where I'd post random edits about fiction/media Ive watched and am watching currently. Since that time I created that account I wasn't very consistent with posting, usually just posted random stuff like edits from shows and animated series.
However about a month ago I finished an anime (it's called Monster) and wanted to post about it so bad. However with each post came a failed attempt at getting views, where my most viewed vid usually just had a thousand views.
About my third attempt in making an edit I was sure that this was the one. Surely enough when I posted it within 5 minutes I saw about 30 likes and 10 favorites, which in my opinion is a fantastic analytic. Fast forward about an hour after posting that video, it was (for some reason) stuck at 300 – 400 views. I was very confused because I was so sure it was going somewhere, but it felt like it hit a wall and can't grow further
So I had an idea and that was just deleting the post and reposting it again ( you can also set the video to private).
The video ended up having about 500k views in the first 8 hours. And now it has a million. What I'm trying to say here is that if you are absolutely sure that your video is good and will appeal to viewers and it's not going anywhere, then just simply delete it and repost it again, even add it to your story if necessary (BUT don't keep deleting the video and posting it again, that could have a negative effect on the algorithm, after your second try if it doesn't do well don't do it anymore).
But at the end of the day what matters most is consistency => how many times you post a week? Do you post everyday? If so that gives tik tok a sign that you are taking this seriously and could make your account more alive to a point where it pushes your vid forward.
