I was around that range not too long ago and had the same doubt. Rage bait works, but it’s not the only path, it’s just the fastest way to get spikes.
What actually helped me grow was leaning harder into a recognizable style instead of chasing formats. If someone sees your post in isolation, they should still feel like it’s you. Humor, dark storytelling, satire all work, but consistency matters more than the category.
At that stage, distribution matters a lot too. I focused on replying to bigger accounts in my niche using the same tone as my posts, and turning one idea into multiple versions instead of trying to come up with something new every time. Posting more frequently also helped, but without overthinking each post.
Also, humor and satire don’t always get instant likes, but they do get follows if people connect with it. Most of my growth came from a few posts that felt different rather than ones that performed well in likes.
You don’t need to switch to rage bait, you just need to make your style sharper and easier to recognize so people remember you.
