start a new acct or keep old one (25k followers) & pivot

i've had an activism-related instagram for a few years now that i grew to 25k followers, mostly focused on environmental activism, but 2 months ago i pivoted to animal rights activism. naturally, the engagement took a big hit which I was expecting but now I'm not sure if it was the right move to pivot or if should have just started a new account

I used to get 1000s of likes on my posts regularly, now i'm consistently getting ~100-200 likes. weirdly.. even when i collab with big pages with the new niche (100-700k followers), it's like even THEIR followers don't get shown my posts. should I stick with this for a few more months and hope the algorithm redirects my posts to the right people eventually or should I start a new account fresh?
