Difference between site impressions and URL impressions in Google Search Console?



I’m trying to understand the difference between site impressions and url impressions in GSC and why the former has a larger total number typically. Here’s my current understanding: Site Impressions indicate how often any page from your site appears in search results, while URL impressions show the number of times a specific URL is displayed in results.
I’m not sure why site impressions are higher since don’t all pages have URLs as well? They should be equal, no?
