Witnessing a Drop in Instagram Story Views. What Am I Missing?
Hi everyone,
I’ve been experiencing a significant dip in the story view count on my brand’s Instagram page recently. Even though my follower count has seen a slight increase, story views have reduced from 23% to a paltry 3%. Also, my overall reach seems to be suffering.
The decline seems too steep to attribute it merely to my audience hiding me from their feed, especially given the fact that I haven’t been posting very frequently. Is anyone else experiencing this?
Any pointers on how to enhance the situation?

I’m curious about your niche. Are your followers truly interested in your content, or did they follow you randomly?
You could try using engagement stickers and sharing exclusive content in your stories. Make sure the content in your feed and stories aren’t identical and use teasers for upcoming posts to create a sense of anticipation.
I found a growth service named Ascandviral to be very useful. They helped me build a follower base that was genuinely interested in my content, which significantly improved engagement on both posts and stories.

Is your target audience younger? If yes, media fragmentation might be an issue ie young people switching to TT, Threads, etc
