GuestFebruary 25, 2021 at 2:35 pmI don’t ever seeing audio-based social media taking over visual-based but I could be wrong.

GuestFebruary 25, 2021 at 2:49 pmYou don’t open an account, you get invited. It’s not an alternative to anything, it’s a new thing. Maybe an alternative to webinars and pointless Zooms but that’s it. It’s all about genuine conversations.

GuestFebruary 25, 2021 at 3:12 pmClubhouse has been amazing so far! Think interactive podcast! Super fun, most of the rooms are casual, and great for lead gen. I don’t think it will replace Twitter tho.

GuestFebruary 25, 2021 at 3:31 pmIt’s a fad. I don’t see this being scalable unless it uses some software to auto-ban people the first time they use a racist word. Even then, it might mishear something and ban an innocent person. We’ve all seen the amount of hate on social media and companies struggle to control it. A speech-based social media is harder to moderate than text-based. Right now, numbers are low and people are having fun, but they’ve already had issues with hate groups on Clubhouse. When they try to scale, I see it getting a thousand times worse and then it all collapsing. But it’s something to enjoy and have fun with short term.

GuestFebruary 25, 2021 at 3:32 pmClubhouse is amazing. So much so that Twitter is copying them with Twitter Spaces. I’m sure FB/Zuck is right behind them.
The future of audio social media is bright. It won’t replace visual socials, but is just another lane on the social media highway. Clubhouse is great because of the passive way in which you consume audio. You can listen while doing anything else and the ability to jump in and talk when you want keeps the access smooth. Great platform. 10/10. I would sign up again. -

GuestFebruary 25, 2021 at 3:58 pmI think there was a recent data breach so it’s not as quite up to par yet with the other platforms and I don’t think it can hold as much users as it currently can.
Moderation is going to be a challenge for them.

GuestFebruary 25, 2021 at 4:01 pmIf Clubhouse is an alternative to Twitter, the radio would have made a comeback.
Idc what happens to clubhouse but hard to see how it would be an alternative to Twitter, I see it as an alternative to podcasts or radio. I’m not going to sit in a clubhouse room for someone to recite a sports game score, or the weather or my local news or listen to my friends make jokes about those things. Twitter is also used for medical professionals to share studies, charts, graphs, news. I don’t know a single doctor who is going to sit in a club house room instead of quickly scroll twitter. Twitter is used for journalists to find breaking news stories and receive pitches, hard to sit in a clubhouse room to do that.
Also hard to ‘share’ anything within the platform when you can’t revisit a room that is not going on anymore.
I do think it has a place for corporate conferences, I would love to just jump into a clubhouse room instead of another zoom call. Or an alternative to Sirius radio.

GuestFebruary 25, 2021 at 4:03 pmWhat is the percentage of people who talk vs. listen?
As someone who probably wouldn’t talk in a room, and loves podcasts. I don’t see a difference in clubhouse vs. podcasts, besides production quality.

GuestFebruary 25, 2021 at 4:19 pmHaving zoom calls is better than clubhouse. Seeing a persons face while they speak is much more engaging that just hearing their voice. At least I can send messages through Zoom call unlike in clubhouse you cant speak unless they allow you to! Not to hate clubhouse, but I dont see how it can scale further unless they started monetizing for joining rooms, but still wont be a good monetization process.

GuestFebruary 25, 2021 at 5:46 pmIt’s nothing to do with Twitter and yes, it’s amazing. Definitely the future is about voice and audio content, and Clubhouse seems like a fantastic platform for that.

GuestFebruary 28, 2021 at 6:29 pmI would say not an alternative, just a different way to engage with people. I think the fact that it is interactive audio is really cool but some people are always going to prefer fast and quick visual tweets and reading rather than this type of audio dialogue
