Newer site that's doing pretty well in the rankings so far. But it has a normal blog home page that shows the most recent articles.

Will switching to a static page hurt the rankings? I always hate making changes to a site since they always seem to be negative.

Sometimes it's best to just leave things as is and make improvements to new content.

switching to a static homepage shouldn’t hurt your rankings if done right… It might even help by focusing on key info and improving user experience….

Just ensure you maintain internal linking and keep your content easily accessible… That said, if your current setup is working well, there’s no urgent need to change it….

In case of blogging wrbsites or thise which publish content very frequently, i suggest having to show latest post on the home page. A static home is very workable for service based sites.
