  • Wich social media platform is best for new creators?

Hello, I'm a youtuber and blogger but I'm trying to decide on a social platform to have a more laid back, short form content, the thing is that I've seen a decline in user engagement in most platforms (not my accounts) so I wanted to ask: having that decline into consideration, what is still the "best" platform for new users? If multiple, which ones?

Well since you are already here, have you thought about using Reddit to boost your content?

I actually think that growing on YouTube can be tough, but I used to stream on Twitch and picked up a decent follow plus quite a few returning chatters. It was especially easy for me because I played Geometry Dash and it’s quite a popular game with not many people that often stream at once. It actually isn’t very hard to gain a following as long as you use a mic and have good stream titles. Other than that I wouldn’t have a clue.

For new creators, I’d recommend focusing on YouTube and TikTok. YouTube is great for longer videos and building a loyal subscriber base with tutorials or vlogs. TikTok, on the other hand, is awesome for short, snappy content that can quickly go viral if it hits the right note. Both platforms offer unique ways to engage with audiences and grow your presence online.

For short-form content and engagement, TikTok and Instagram Reels are currently leading platforms.

If you’re looking for laid-back, short-form content, TikTok is still killin’ it despite engagement dips elsewhere. It’s super user-friendly and perfect for quick, engaging videos. Instagram Reels is also solid, especially if you already have a presence there. If you’re considering multiple, adding YouTube Shorts to the mix can be smart too. They’re all great for reaching new audiences!

TikTok is the BEST place to start a following. Instagram and YouTube are harder to grow on, but have more loyal followers.

For laid-back, short-form content, try out these platforms:

    1. **TikTok**: Quick and easy way to get noticed.
    2. **Instagram Reels**: Big audience and great for short videos.
    3. **YouTube Shorts**: Stay on YouTube but with shorter content.
    4. **Facebook Reels**: Reach Facebook’s wide audience.
    5. **Snapchat**: Fun and casual, popular with younger users.
    6. **Twitter** : Great for quick updates and conversations.
    7. **Threads**: Meta’s new app for short, text-based posts.

TikTok and Instagram Reels are my top choices for high engagement.
