Since snapchat has that one feature where messages will get deleted after a certain period of time, it’s a very popular app among OF advertisers, Horny men, and Predators. Which makes sense since it’s user interface is pretty young, ranging from preteens to mid 20 year olds mostly.
As a teen myself, the predators I often get in my dms usually ask for my snap first, cause they know anything they send there will get deleted so they can continue to prey without consequence. Teenage boys often want snap so they can ask classmates for sexual or secret content and then it’ll get deleted before anyone sees. Models advertise explicit content here since the main demographic on snapchat are males, aka clients.
Men and kids are snapchats prime demographic. They advertise themself as Kid-friendly since messages get deleted, and you get notified when content is saved so kids don’t feel like they have digital footprints (but they do since you can still save whatever through loopholes so the delete feature is actually pointless and dangerous), and sex advertisement friendly since most of it’s user face is there looking for or selling sexual content (as you can clearly see from the front page).
It’s the main reason anyone engages with snapchat, no wonder it’s flooded the app

Advertising is pathetic these days. Some of the ads I see on YouTube are wastes of money. I’m often tempted to email some company who’s target market is the another Australian state, but in SA we see their ads. If I was client, I’d be ticked! I’d be moving my business to an ad agency who knows what they are doing. It really does seem that so many companies have completely lost their way in advertising. I’m wondering who the pinhead marketing manager is that signed off?

Remember that the primary demographic of Snapchat users are between the ages of 12-25, and they’re really targeting the youth with that mess. 🙁

Snapchat is cancer. I swear I took a screen recording of this feed with all these baity videos. They’re whole marketing is using obnoxious pop up ads and putting them in their scroll feed with baity photos and texts… I hate it.

I work for a company that makes snap discover shows and the mentality is you need to be aggressive as a possible to get someone to click on your tile. Snap will reject stuff but it’s all about how close to the line you can get.
