Why is like almost everything on TikTok about religion lately?
Even though I scroll past that content, I still get a lot of videos on my feed about religion and I find it kind of annoying. I respect all religions, but that’s not the reason I am on TikTok, I want to see entertaining videos. All I basically see is people converting to Islam or people telling others why their religion is the truth.
Why is TikTok so about religion lately?

That’s your algorithm. Whatever you’ve liked, watched or engaged with is leading the algorithm to recommend this content. Just mark it as dislike (hold screen to bring up menu on video) and search for content you do want to see. Should clear up for you within a few hours/ a day

That’s how the algorithm has got you dialed in. I don’t get any religious stuff at all – it’s all electronic music production, Adobe tips and tricks, cute dogs and occasionally people dancing. The amount of content on TikTok is fucking vaaaaaaast and to assume that what *you’re* seeing is what everyone else is seeing isn’t accurate.

Just mark it as dislike often enough and like what you want to see. TikTok changes your recommendations aggressively.

It’s called a fyp for a reason. Somewhere in your Algorithm, it is giving you religious content. I don’t practice witchcraft, but yet I’m getting bone fortune videos. I’m not a Miraculous Ladybug fan, but yet I’m forced to know more than I want to about the show in recent seasons. I recommend searching up videos you’d like and keep watching those, maybe your fyp will change.

I’ve had no religion for months, used to get cliff yapping in the streets for a while a lil while ago but been nothing of the sort for ages
