Why do some social media accounts get “instant success”?
I was just scrolling YouTube shorts and saw an artist video comparing her work from 12yrs old to now. I checked her YouTube history to see if she made videos from back then and noticed she only had a couple handful of shorts and videos that all looked recent and already was getting 40-60k+ views on each. I've noticed this before too on Instagram and especially tiktok, but why do some accounts/videos get instant success and some bomb with 2 views. Do they delete the old stuff that didn't get any engagement? Is it really just luck? Any insights would be appreciated, Im totally bamboozled.

Why do some people have that star power so craved? Kinda a lower form of the same thing. A lot of times it’s as long as they remain good looking, and that’s all they really have other than that special something. One wears off, they are over. Your core audience is who you live off of from what I’ve learned, and most of them are a flash in the pan. They lose their looks and that goes too.

They may already have a community following and just started on that platform, or they may be deleting old posts from before a viral moment that gave them the boost to their regular numbers now. Either way, I wouldn’t dwell on it. Social media is only fun and entertaining until you start comparing yourself and your numbers to others.

I’m a TikTok creator. I believe this is a step-by-step process. As long as you keep your account active and constantly update your content, the view count of your videos will increase.
