Why do my high engagement tiktoks get hardly any views?
For example I have a tiktok that has 38 likes, 4 comments and only 140 views.. however I’ll have a video that gets 709 views and only 3 likes. Is my account in bad standing? I’ve deleted/reuploaded a ton of my own videos in the past because of no views. I had one video that hit 40k views but I hardly ever even break a few hundred now. I even tried creating a new account but the video got 0 views in the first 48 hours

Tiktok is all about the watch-time. If you make your account a pro account you can click analytics on your video and see your watchtime.

Stop worrying about engagement. It’s a superficial metric that means nothing. Seems like you just use it as validation for yourself. Post good content that brings value and that’s all that matters.

The most important metric for TikTok is shares and watch time otherwise the views just count as “impressions” of people scrolling past your content
