  • Why are people buying SEO/Content marketing?

Posted by BackgroundNo24 on August 6, 2023 at 3:38 pm

I think about this question a lot.

Obviously, I understand that in the long-term content marketing and organic lead gen is unbeatable. I also know it’s crucial for brand presence.

However, almost every successful business wants to move fast and content marketing is a slow burn.

So, I do wonder, for those of you running successful content marketing agencies, what is motivating your buyers to leverage content?

Why do they buy your product?

I’ve just started my own agency, and I’m hoping with some guidance, I can refine my offering.

    Appreciate any answers!

It’s literally as simple as this… If you own a website, the content must be search engine optimized if you want any organic traffic. Without SEO, your site becomes lost in a sea of competitors.

Most businesses want organic traffic because they know people are searching online for products or services they offer.

As for content marketing, blogs not only drive SEO, they also add value for your existing and future customers. They provide insights in your niche that show you’re an authority worth trusting.

    Depends.
Many use content marketing to drive traffic which is good.
But using content marketing to drive conversions is way better and people are ready to pay high for it.

Content =/= marketing so I’ve no idea why people buy into content marketing. SEO just makes sense- Google sends 8X the amount of traffic than all social networks combined. And that’s all – ie their big news hits. Businesses with successful SEO campaigns see as little as .1% of their total traffic from social – because it’s awful at sending free traffic and impossible to stand out

It’s not really a question of one or the other. I’m an agency user (not owner) but it something is slow burn and takes many months (or years) I want to start that ASAP – instead of playing catch up down the line.

I buy my agency’s product (technically a service) because they know how to do it better than I do.
