  • Why are apps or plugins like Yoast, RankMath, and SurferSEO not great indicators of great content?

    I’ve read so many SEOs say that you don’t really have to have all the indicators in these guides all “green”. Can you still write great content that ranks without using these plugins?

    Yes, you can write great content without these plugins.

    This does not mean that they are useless. You must find a balance between the quantitative metrics (which they provide) and the qualitative metrics (the human side of content production).

    For example, I managed to rank first result for a medium competitive keyword in my country by focusing only on the quality of the content (well written and delivering what users expect) and improving the page speed.

    Easy, those tools cannot judge intent or the satisfaction from human being’s. Tools can only check for technical accuracy

    You could literally write down random words plus the NLP keywords and a tool like seosurfer would call it great content. These tools can’t judge if your content makes sense.
