    A friend of mine worked at facebook for 10 years. If you got under his skin he would mess with the algorithms on you page. He said most of the mods were the same. Maybe that’s it.

    If your reels are mostly reaching your followers, it might be due to the algorithm prioritizing them first, low engagement from non-followers, or your content not being as shareable. Try using trending topics, better hashtags, and promoting your reels more to get them in front of new eyes.

    How long are your reels? I can’t find the post right now but the @creators acct managed by Meta had a video a couple months back that said the algorithm does not push videos over 90s to non-followers.

    All I know is that this is a problem from their algorithm which no one have a walk around to beating it.

    There could be a few reasons for this. One possibility is that the algorithm might be prioritizing your content for your existing followers rather than new users. To increase visibility, try engaging with trending topics or hashtags, posting consistently, and interacting with users in your niche. Also, consider promoting your content through collaborations or sponsored posts to reach a broader audience.

    How long have you been posting? And how consistent are you being? And one which social media channels are you posting? Building an audience takes time, it can take up to 9 months on some platforms. It’s also about consistency, as well as when you post.

    Your posts might not be reaching a wider audience due to algorithmic limitations, low engagement, or insufficient use of trending hashtags.

    We have the same. Big account. Good engagement rate. Almost no views by non-followers. Our content is news oriented and maybe that limits it.

    This is a really common issue with most accounts but it’s a pretty easy fix.

    Here are some steps you can take:

    * **Enhance Engagement**
    * **Create High-Quality Content**: Make sure your posts are engaging, relevant, and visually appealing.
    * **Use Calls to Action**: Encourage likes, comments, and shares to boost visibility. Utilize polls and Q&A’s for more engagement
    * **Optimize Hashtags and Tags**
    * **Use Relevant Hashtags**: Include popular and niche hashtags that relate to your content. Do some research on this with viral reels, see what hashtags they use. Make sure to not use too many hashtags because the algorithm will be confused on you target audience. That is another thing: do some research on the algorithm because it was recently updated and make sure you understand it.
    * **Tag Relevant Accounts**: This can help expose your posts to their followers.
    * **Post at Optimal Times**
    * **Schedule Posts When Your Audience is Active**: Use insights to determine the best times to post for maximum engagement. In Instagram it will tell you all sorts of information on what type of audience you reach (ex. gender, country, age, etc.), so utilize that and customize your content for that audience.
    * **Experiment with Content Types**
    * **Try Different Formats**: Mix up your content with various formats (e.g., Reels, Stories) to see what works best. Trial and error are crucial to these kinds of processes because you just have to see what works. However, don’t switch too often because you want to give the algorithm enough time to go into effect.
    * **Consider Paid Promotion**
    * **Boost Posts**: Use paid ads to reach a wider audience beyond your followers.

    Make sure you’re posting consistently, that alone is sometimes the deciding factor in relation to your reach. Set a specific time of day, and specific day of the week (should tell you on insights when you are most active). To do this you can make the reels ahead of time and make sure to post them manually!! Scheduled reels really affect your stats on the reels and can make a difference. I hope this helps you!
