  • Which social media tool ( hootsuite, hubspot, or sprout social) is best?

I was a social media manager( in-house) for a large firm( about 190 people) and we used each apps built in tools( FB, IG) for social media analytics and scheduling.

I am moving to a smaller firm( about 30) with relatively no social media presence and hoping to grow it from scratch. We are thinking of investing in a software that can make the job easier. Pricing is not an issue for us at this point.

Also, is it true that using a third-party application can reduce the amount of engagement significantly on sites like FB!

I’ve used them all and now use Metricool and love it.

I have used Hootsuite and Buffer but I don’t use them much anymore since I can make it work better with the organic scheduling tools of social media platforms.

I am actually the co-founder of a social media scheduling tool called OneUp.

OneUp supports posting to FB and IG (in addition to X, Pinterest, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, and Google Business Profiles).

OneUp also has a team member feature, where you can add as many team members as you want to your OneUp account, and then assign specific social accounts to specific team members.

You can grant granular permissions too. For example, you could require that all of Person A’s posts need to be approved by an admin before they can be posted. But for Person B (who maybe you trust more), you could allow them to schedule and publish posts without needing approval.

I just went through evaluating several platforms to make a change. My top two were Sprinklr and Sprout.

I’d suggest giving each of them a spin, as they often offer free trials. See which one feels like a snug glove for your needs.

I would recommend Metricool. Not only because of its functionalities, but they offer a free plan for life, depending on how much content you plan on pushing out. I do like other tools, but I think I get the most with metricool

Sprout Social is my go-to. Robust analytics and intuitive interface!

Having tried all three, I personally find that Hootsuite is great for monitoring multiple streams and brand mentions, whereas HubSpot is more comprehensive if you’re diving deep into inbound marketing. Sprout Social shines in reporting and analytics. As for the engagement drop rumor, it’s mostly a myth, but native posts occasionally do get a bit more traction.

I’d recommend Social Champ for your use case. And no, haven’t found any evidence that scheduled posts perform worse.
