  • Whats your SEO Software Stack?

    Posted by PostCheetah on May 9, 2023 at 11:35 am

    As we continue to build our tool and I conduct SEO interviews I’m finding it exceedingly more interesting to hear about the “tech stack” that SEO’s are using.
    The ones I’m hearing the most are:

    * Ahrefs for backlink research
    * SEMRush for KW research
    * ChatGPT or Jasper for content (although many SEO’s are hesitant to publish content written by AI to client sites)
    * SurferSEO for content
    * Looker Studio for reporting

    What tools do you guys use for kw research, content production, reporting, or anything else? Any help would be highly appreciated.

    Another helpful insight would be how much time you spend on kw research, content production, and link building (if at all).

    We also still have some spots left for our early access if you’re interested. We have no idea how to price it right now so I’m just going to give it for free to the first 1000 people interested. The idea is that the tool will do kw research, content idea + creation/publishing, site health (using GSC), and detailed customized reporting. Link in bio.

    Ahrefs for competitor research, clearscope for content perfection, Kw planner + ChatGPT for kw research.

    Content about 70% of my time, kw research 5%, link building 5%, fucking reporting at least 20% of my time (my biggest paint point)

    I like Clearscope but I don’t use it much. SEMrush has a lot of added value even when you already have Ahrefs. Still, my tech stack is just Ahrefs. It’s sufficient and cost effective.

    **Ahrefs:** Backlink + KW Research
    **GSC:** KW Research (Content Gaps that Ahrefs can’t find)
    **Google Adwords (KWP):** (General Topic cluster research)
    **ChatGPT:** Helps me structure content silo’s, surprisingly well & content briefs
    **RankMath:** For my clients, just easier especially with Instant Indexing
    **Screaming Frog:** Generally just like the software
    **Sitebulb:** Exclusively for visualizing sitemaps, but honestly it’s not amazing at seeing Content Silo’s

    I use Mangools for almost 100% of my KW, backlink, and tracking duties. My needs are pretty basic in these categories doing local SEO almost exclusively.

    Keywords everywhere, and some of the freebie extensions already mentioned. I also used to use Local Viking for Google business heat mapping, but now I get that feature free through snapps.ai which is also a game changer since I hate doing website builds haha

    I have been exploring various AI-based text content tools lately, such as:

    1. **Surfer, and Semrush**: these tools provide text content marketing assistants that can deliver top-quality material for SEO purposes.
    2. **OpenAI**: a versatile tool that enables users to create different kinds of content, such as blog posts, emails, product descriptions, reviews, and ads.
    3. **Autowrite**: an article-writing tool that generates well-structured pieces with SEO keywords, subheadings, and style elements.
    4. **Mixo**: a platform that can automatically create content for various types of websites.

    MarketingBlocks: a platform tailored to constructing complex marketing blocks.

    Other than the ones already mentioned, I also use MOZ backlink tool, ubersuggest, and Pingdom (test load speed and gives you a breakdown of where your pages lag the most).

    Following thread for great tool suggestions.
