  • What’s the “value” of one high DR backlink?

Posted by seohelper on April 9, 2020 at 2:51 pm

I fully understand the importance of a complete backlink profile. My question is more of a curiosity one. What is the “value” of getting one high DR backlink? Is there any way to quantify what the boost might look like?

Edit 1: Additional question. If that value can be quantified, does a high DR backlink to your root homepage carry any weight for the rest of your site?

The value will be different for every link. You might be able to use a campaign URL or tracked URL to track the traffic and its various metrics, otherwise just look in analytics at sources. You can use goals to track conversions or call tracking software to track calls from that traffic. You would have to figure out how much a lead or sale is worth to you. If you have an e-commerce or affiliate site, you’ll know exactly. For something like a service business, it’s more complicated.
