What’s the purpose of multiple pixels on one website?

    Edit – Facebook Pixel

Being told by a 3rd party that I might need to setup multiple Pixels for our one website (Shopify platform) and am confused as to why this would be. We’re just running the one ad account and from what I understand the standard single Pixel should be able to let us do everything we need to.

Shouldn’t be any reason we can’t target specific audiences using various filters with that single Pixel and the custom events we’ve setup.

Seems like I’m getting some bullshit buzzword garbage from this 3rd party. “Niche Pixels” is what it was called and I can’t even really find that term being used elsewhere online.

What platform are the pixels being created on?

Different platforms have different pixels. FB and Google use Smart Pixels (only needs 1 pixel). Other platforms like Amazon require multiple pixels as they do not have a smart pixel.
