Optimizing page speed and ensuring mobile compliance made a huge impact on my traffic. Additionally, improving internal linking boosted engagement and rankings significantly.

    Change all images to webp.
    Use a fast host.
    Add alt text to images.
Write for specific keywords actually in demand instead of randomly.
Not changing urls to try an optimise them. Just leave them alone.

    Robots.txt, over and over again.

Huge company, lot of changing stakeholders and many migration projects led to robots.txt files blocking everyone from crawling parts of our sites multiple times over the last 10 years.

Most recent incident led to a 10% global organic traffic dip. Took us 3 days to realise and 2 more to fix. After 6 weeks we are still 6% down from this, recovering very slowly.

I once handled a client. They used long and unoptimized permalinks. I just changed the permalink with the main keyword, and the magic happened 🤣
