    What sucks about running PPC ads?

    Posted by tobebuilds on December 30, 2022 at 5:36 pm

    Hey r/PPC, I’m a California-based software engineer who’s been browsing this sub for a while.

    I’m gonna be honest – I want to start a SaaS company, but I’ve had a hard time finding problems people actually care about.

    So here’s my question: what are the biggest pain points you experience as an advertising professional?

    Im in charge of Google Ads at my agency so streamlining the reporting process will make things a lot easier. Google offers a lot of high end tools, GA4, the older Universal Analytics, Search Console and google looker which are amazing, but…

    They are overkill, and quite frankly the information is and not necessary at all for clientele and we use only it for internal reporting where I then have to translate the data into something that our clients can digest.

    So far, the only thing I have found is Plausible Analytics that gives me a no BS glance what I need to see.

    Also tools that will better help me understand our PPC campaigns as well as make A/B testing easier on google ads for us.

    As a small PPC agency owner it’s month-end crunch time (beginning of the month and particularly 1st/2nd) as everything happens at once:

    * client reports, meetings, and change requests
    * new campaign initiatives (typically launch on the 1st)
    * billing
    * paying staff
    * SEO link building
    * start of month-end books
    * Etc.

    My staff and I are 2-3x as busy for the 1st week of the month compared to the rest of the month. We have already automated a ton of stuff but this problem stills exists.

    And, yes, I know some agencies do reports later on (mid-month), but part of our competitive advantage is our excellent service.
