What steps should I take when I get insulted on the internet? So, I will work as a content creator on many platforms (TikTok, YouTube, Instagram) and have to show my presence in front of the camera.
So I'd be working as a content creator on a few platforms (TikTok, YouTube, Instagram) and would have to perform my presence in front of the camera. It's beyond me when dealing with people on the internet. What should I do when I end up saying something that offends or hurts them?

Well, I was raised to not insult someone. So maybe try not saying things that hurt people?

Do nothing. Keep making your videos and let those whine who wanna whine and let those who want to hate do their thing. You are going to be making content for the mentally unstable remember that. Most people who have active lives and things to do in life don’t sit on the internet and troll people and get offended by silly Tik Tok videos they have lives and time is money. The people who do have time are brain drained by a screen and your just one of a hundred that day they commented on for a reaction. Give them zero time

Your content is about you.
Their reply is about them. If they take offence to any of your videos, I gotta say, as a digital marketing agency, my advice would be reply to them. Don’t say sorry, just say something.
Ride the algorithm.

Honestly as much as bad comments may be hurtful or knock your confidence, you at least have the guts to do it and be on camera. And you can’t please everyone, so just do your best to ignore them and not respond.
If they’re threatening or really bullying you, then report/delete/block, as it’s your account and you decide what’s allowed on your feeds.
I tend to not delete all bad comments (not that I get many or am on camera) on certain posts, as it’s extra engagement for you.

You do absolutely nothing. Doing anything will add more fire to the situation and blow it out of proportion. Focus on just doing your job of creating contents.

Easier said than done but ignore them. Don’t fight back in the comments, fight back to yourself in the mirror if you feel the need to, but even better, remind yourself it has nothing to do with you and it’s never personal to you. And avoid bringing that defensive energy into your videos, your actual audience probably wouldn’t like your videos as much if you say something to defend yourself every 10 seconds or go into extremely nuanced territory just to defend yourself from future criticism.
Ignore, don’t fight back, and don’t bring any defensive energy into your videos.

For the people that feel hurt or offended by whatever in your videos, ignore them too. I’m not sure what your content is about but avoid changing your opinions just because someone feels hurt by what you said.

Credibility, it’s all about credibility. Ignore the trolls. Engaging with them only diminishes your time, energy, and most of all, your credibility. You are a professional, and they are not. Leave it there. I am not a professional by any means, but I have just learned this lesson the hard way.
