  • What is the Number 1 Rule to Improve E-E-A-T?

Posted by Resident_Winner3400 on July 16, 2023 at 4:29 am

I am writing posts at my blog for almost 2 years. Because my blog is a relatively new one, I try to write on low competition keywords.

Most of my posts are in the 1 to 3 position when searched on Google. However, when my competitors write a relevant posts on the same keyword, they get above me, despite their posts being substandard.

The only thing I am lacking is the EEAT. Does anyone know how can I improve it?

(Note: I am writing long posts, link to highly authentic research posts, and my own posts as well)

Hey there, I feel your struggle with the E-A-T (Expertise, Authority, Trustworthiness) part of SEO. It’s a tricky beast but manageable. Here’s my take:

You’re already on the right track with linking to high-quality research posts and writing comprehensive articles. That’s excellent! The key to improving E-A-T is to demonstrate your expertise and credibility convincingly. Here’s how you might be able to do that:

Author Biography: Include an author bio for every post you write. This should highlight the writer’s qualifications, experience, and why they’re an expert in this field.

References: You’re already linking to authoritative sources, which is fantastic. Continue doing so to lend credibility and depth to your content.

Reviews and Testimonials: Gather and display positive reviews or testimonials. They can seriously boost your site’s trustworthiness.

Accreditations and Certificates: Showcase any relevant accreditations or certifications you or your business have, if applicable.

Guest Posting: Consider writing for other reputable sites in your industry. This can increase your authority and help position you as an expert.

Update Regularly: Google loves fresh content, so keep your blog updated and revisit older posts to refresh them with new info.

Original Research: If you can, publish your own studies or data. This not only demonstrates deep expertise but can also earn you valuable backlinks.

Remember, E-A-T isn’t a sprint; it’s a marathon. It’s about consistently producing quality content and gradually building your reputation and authority. Stay patient, keep up the good work, and your E-A-T will rise over time. Best of luck!

Backlinks. Google is simply a robot (albeit a highly intelligent one), and strongly relies on the most trustworthy and authoritative websites to cast votes (backlinks) on what content is actually worth ranking.

EAT is just an urban legend. Google dreams of something, but applies something else. Top shitpost website ranking higher than qualitative, good SEO-practices, well done websites. You’ll always see examples of that. Focus on what your audience needs, do click-bait, launch multiple sites on the same topic, etc. That’s what works.
