A platform where the users exclusively upload one-second clips of themselves dabbing layed over with a distorted earrape bass sound

I hope something that doesn’t show view/like counts, and doesn’t revolve around never-ending scrolling, maybe an audio only social media platform? That’d be cool

Something with an even even shorter attention span. Also the thing where you don’t “need” to make an account to use the platform. Something where people will even Like faster and more than on tiktok. (Also where you grow followers even faster) It’ll probably also be something with even more sexual content than tiktok.

It’ll basically be a shitshow of horny young people with attention issues and bad content.

Like it was already mentioned – a platform without likes, a platform which will inspire genuine and creative content.

be nice if it was something crypto, or gave a more secure livelihood to the creators for all the value they bring to the platform. I think good content is what gets people to ultimately shift, so if you want an audience you gotta support the people that would actually get people to shift.

    The ActivityPub ecosystem.

edit: I’m not sure what /u/BasedInquiry has problems with but ActivityPub does **not** use a blockchain and it is not crypto tech. It is a specification for distributed and federated social networking sponsored by the same standardization body that wrote the HTML spec.

Clubhouse – reportedly invite only currently. Article called it a spontaneous social app for voice chatting. Invites have only gone out to famous people and people associated with the venture capital ecosystem.

Seems a little like chat roulette, except you get to choose chat room based on who is already there and/or the topic plus it is voice audio so emotionally more engaging than text and emojis.
