What happened to instagram insights?
There is no longer a way track follower growth over a period of time.
For example if you view follower insights for the last 30 days, it shows total followers, followers gained/lost per day. But there is nothing about the overall change in followers like their used to be. Why would they remove this?

Instagrams insights update removed the overall follower growth metric. Now, it only shows daily gains or losses. The reason for this change is not clear but it seems to emphasize daily trends.

I think there are third party tools that allow you to get insights without having to rely on instagram
Ive definitely seen a few but I haven’t used any personally

Instagram Insights has definitely gone through some changes, and it’s a bummer they removed the overall follower growth metric. It seems like they want us to focus more on engagement rather than just follower counts. Now we can only see daily gains and losses, which is kinda annoying. Maybe drop them some feedback so they know what users actually want 😛

I think they’ve removed it because they want to take the emphasis off lack of follower growth. It’s gotten pretty bad so they don’t want you to see quite how bad. They’re shifting focus to views and reach.

Instagram might have removed detailed follower growth insights to make things simpler or focus on other features. It can be frustrating, but you can still see total followers and daily changes. If you need more details, consider using third-party apps for tracking. Hopefully, Instagram will add more insights back later!
