I have a question
If someone says, that they have a 10K/month client. Does that mean sheer profit, is that including or excluding the cost of ads. Could someone explain?
In my experience it means what they’re charging the customer, and doesn’t refer to profit margin.
For example, you charge the customer 10K/month. You have one full-time employee working on the account. You also have some travel expenses, the cost of the employees seat, and so on. Therefore there may only be 2K/month profit from this client.

Typically gross revenue.
If I charge you 10k to run your ads, then you’d be a 10k-a-month client. Usually doesn’t include ad spend unless they say they’re like ‘managing X of spend per month.’

I’d say the clients budget is 10k per month in GAds

Depends who said it. Probably more common that includes ad spend just with the bell curve of budgets and size of businesses.

It could refer to the revenue the client pays to the agency, or gross profit (after COGS), or the average monthly ad spend. When I say it about a client I spell that out for clarity.
For example, “that client pays us $10K/month” or “their ad budget is $10K/month” or “we net about $10K/month from them.”

Imo it mostly refers to budget.
It literally means that the client is willing to spend 10 k on ad spend and hiring the company to manage this 10 k ad spend on their behalf
