What can we do for images to rank on search?
Can someone suggest how to rank images on search for similar or competitive keywords, and sometimes when your images are not your own but by someone else ( brand/press/individual).

Fill them with alt-descriptions and match the filename with the keyword. If Google can identify the content of the images, it’ll also rank better. So it must be concise and visually simple.
Look at this screenshot, the entire page is almost pictures of my sister business. It’s a local keyword for PMU lips.

use alt tag with keyword under your image

1. To rank for similar keywords, fill each image’s (or group of images) alt-descriptions with these keywords
2. To rank someone’s images, make them unique (flip or add little changes)
