GuestAugust 10, 2024 at 2:09 pmI would suggest first identify your target audience and main topics then use tools like Google Keyword Planner to find keywords and also check competitors keywords and choose ones with good search volume….

GuestAugust 10, 2024 at 2:19 pmStart by brainstorming seed keywords these are any words that describe your products or services. Next, identify competitors in the same niche and analyze the keywords they rank for. Then, head over to keyword research tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush, or Google Keyword Planner. Look for search volume, keyword difficulty, and search intent. Organize the keywords into groups based on common themes or topics. Try to use long-tail keywords because they have lower competition but can still bring in relevant traffic…

GuestAugust 10, 2024 at 2:28 pm– Chunk the site out into current topics/clusters
– Throw my ideas into a notepad/excel (how would I search for this product/service?)
– Throw a few into search and see the top players (competitive research). Get more ideas from there and go see what they are ranking for as well.
– Use keyword tools (Keyword Planner, Semrush, Ahrefs, Keywords Everywhere, etc) to get volume. As an SEO, I rarely look at competition scores.
– Find best fit phrases + intent driven phrases.
– Get baseline rankings from those phrases for the site I am working on. First rule of SEO, DO NO HARM.
– Map/cluster phrases for best fit pages, update titles/metas as needed, implement, move onto the next phase of the strategy.
Keyword research is the building block of an SEO campaign. Everything you do is around the keyword phrases that you choose and yes you can pivot, but if you have garbage keywords right out of the gate, you’re going to have a shit time.
Good luck, have fun.
