My link service provider runs a blog where they recently wrote about a creative free way of getting links using images. If you know a little about designing then you can make up some pretty solid links using that method.
Search for – free quality links underwp – and you can get there. One of the best link building techniques I read recently.

Very vanilla but skyscraper outreach – takes time but works well and forces you to write the best possible content. Unlinked brand mentions are powerful too if you’re catching them early on.

**Would recommend doing your research on the following. These are the main link building techniques that are working right now:**
1) HARO – Help A Reporter Out
2) Guest Posting
3) Link Insertions – Otherwise known as niche edits and Skyscraper Technique
4) Shotgun Skyscraper technique
5) Asking for links on relevant industry listings/lists
6) You can also get super creative: Anything you can think of to get a good contextual do-follow link on a relevant site is worth attempting at least a few times. For example: I offered to buy a couple of agencies to buy them a Mcdonalds one day for lunch and $40 worth of food got me a decent link I wouldn’t be able to get otherwise.Hope this helps!
